Inah Canabarro Lucas (born 8 June 1908)[1] is a Brazilian nun and supercentenarian who has been the world's oldest verified living person since the death of Tomiko Itooka on 29 December 2024.
[7] She worked as a kindergarten teacher at Santa Tereza de Jesus High School, having taught João Figueiredo, the 30th president of Brazil.
[8] Additionally, she is the great-granddaughter of General David Canabarro, who fought in the Ragamuffin War.
[10] She became the oldest living person in Brazil following the death of Antonia da Santa Cruz (1905–2022) on 23 January 2022.
[13][14] She is the second-oldest nun in history, behind Lucile Randon,[6] and the oldest verified living person in the world.
