Indian Village, Chicago

Indian Village is the small southeast corner of Kenwood, a community area on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, United States.

Many of the buildings in the neighborhood are named after American Indian tribes including the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP)-designated Narragansett; the Powhatan Apartments, a Chicago Landmark; the Chippewa; and the Algonquin Apartment buildings.

The NRHP site of the former Chicago Beach Hotel that now hosts the Regents Park is also in the neighborhood.

[4] Regents Park's South Tower is the tallest building in the Kenwood community area.

[6][7][8] When the developer altered these projects' glass-enclosed lobby design, Mies asked that his name be dissociated from both.
