Running for about 15.5 miles (24.9 km) in a general northeast–southwest direction, connecting rural portions of Dekalb County.

It follows Wayne Street northeast out of Waterloo entering rural Dekalb County.

The road crosses an Indiana Northeastern Railroad track as it enters Steuben County.

The road continues northeast passing by the southeast end of Hamilton Lake.
