Invershin (Scottish Gaelic: Inbhir Sin) is a scattered village in the Parish of Creich, 6 miles (10 km) south of Lairg[1] and 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Bonar Bridge in the south of Sutherland in the Scottish Highlands and is in the Scottish council area of Highland.
[1] Lands of "Inverchyn" or "Inverchen" are mentioned in 13th century documents.
[3] It is served by Invershin railway station, and is the location of the Shin Railway Viaduct which carries the Far North Line across the Kyle of Sutherland.
In 2000, a footbridge was added to the northern side of the viaduct and is part of National Cycle Network Route 1.
