Irvin A. Etler

Irvin A. Etler Jr. (November 4, 1935 – February 10, 2010) was an American college football coach and entrepreneur.

[1][2] After high school, Etler attended Xavier University and played quarterback for the Musketeers from 1956 to 1959.

He then served as defensive coordinator for four years before his promotion to head coach in January 1969.

[1][2] In his lone season as head coach, Etler led Xavier to a 1–9 record and resigned from the program in December 1969.
