Isabel Perelló

María Isabel Perelló Doménech (born 18 March 1958) is a Spanish judge.

In September 2024, she became the first woman to preside over the General Council of the Judiciary and the Supreme Court of Spain.

[5] In 2009, she was promoted to the rank of magistrate of the Supreme Court of Spain and assigned to its Administrative Chamber.

[6] In this position, she specialised in economic regulation, supervising the activity of regulatory bodies such as the National Commission for Markets and Competition and the Bank of Spain.

In 2024, she was elected as president of the Supreme Court and of the General Council of the Judiciary, becoming the first woman to hold this position.
