Israel Klabin (born 20 September 1926) is a Brazilian civil engineer, mathematician, environmentalist and politician.
[2] After serving as mayor, Klabin was President of the State Bank of Rio de Janeiro from 1980 to 1983.
He was also a member of the development council of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio).
One of his sons, Leonardo Klabin, was a state representative of Rio de Janeiro for the Brazilian Democratic Movement.
