Ivan Loveridge Bennett Jr. (March 4, 1922 – July 22, 1990)[1] was an American physician who was dean of the NYU School of Medicine and served as president of New York University 1980–1981.
Bennett was educated at Emory University where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.
Bennett was Deputy Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy under Lyndon B. Johnson between 1967 and 1969.
