Jörg Vogel

Jörg Vogel (born 1 April 1967 in Cottbus, East Germany) is a German scientist in the field of RNA biology and microbiology.

He is Professor and Director of the Institute for Molecular Infection Biology (IMIB) at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, Germany.

From 2004 to 2010, he headed a research group at the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology in Berlin (MPIIB).
