J. David Singer (December 7, 1925, New York City – December 28, 2009, Ann Arbor, Michigan)[1] was an American professor of political science at the University of Michigan.
[2] Singer was a pioneer in the application of quantitative methods to puzzles in the field of international relations.
[2][3] His major contribution was the Correlates of War project, which he began in 1964 at the University of Michigan.
