J. Richard Landis

[1] Landis received his bachelor's degree from Millersville University in 1969 and his M.S.

He was a faculty member at the University of Michigan School of Public Health from 1975 to 1988, where his positions included Professor of Biostatistics.

He served as the director of the CBE for nine years until joining the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania in 1997.

[1] Landis received the Mortimer Spiegelman Award from the American Public Health Association in 1984.

In 2011, he received the Marvin Zelen Leadership Award in Statistical Science from the Harvard School of Public Health.
