JJ Pionke

English, MA, Truman State University, 2003 JJ Pionke is a librarian and disability advocate at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he has been since 2014.

[2] with an adjunct position at Syracuse University since 2019.

[3][4] As part of his work, he has created research guides on various disabilities including chronic illness and limb difference used at his library and adapted for elsewhere.

[5] Physical changes were also made to the library based on his work, including "installing a handrail to the interior ramp near the Interlibrary Loan services, rebuilding the west-entry ramp to Library 66 and adding more signs.
