Manisha was born in New Delhi on 19 September 1967 to Geeta and Janardan Prasad Verma.
She attended Prayag Sangeet Samiti[citation needed] and Delhi University,[1] and participated in Kavi sammelan and Doordarshan programs during her studies.
[citation needed] She later joined Doordarshan as an announcer and acted as part of the main cast in a number of telefilms and serials.
In 2013, Manisha established Saanjhi Saanjh, the first national newspaper dedicated to senior citizens, though it was short-lived due to legal formalities.
[3][4] Manisha has won awards including the Srijan Samman Karm, Shri Bhopal Arishth Mdu, Rohtak Vyavharik Adhyatm "Vaibhav" National Institute of Value Education, and Best Short Film Award 2012 RMAI.
