He was the UK champion trainer and two times winner of the English Greyhound Derby.
[1] Born near Rugby, Warwickshire, he attended his first coursing meeting with three of his own dogs which he slipped himself aged just ten years old.
Harvey stayed in Paris in 1927 picking a job up as a greyhound trainer there before returning the following year.
He would achieve an incredible feat of having twenty-four Derby finalists in his career and retired in 1972 following the demolition of the Wembley Stadium kennels.
