Jack Higgins (cartoonist)

John Joseph Higgins (August 19, 1954 – February 10, 2024) was an American editorial cartoonist for the Chicago Sun-Times.

[citation needed] Higgins began editorial cartooning for its student newspaper before he started freelancing for the Chicago Sun-Times.

Higgins was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning in 1986;[2] he won in 1989.

He ceased syndication in July 2007, opting to create more local cartoons for his paper.
