Jack Hynes (newscaster)

"Jack" Hynes Jr. (April 15, 1929 – February 13, 2018[1]) was a newscaster in Boston, Massachusetts.

[1][2] In 2008, Hynes was inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

[2][1] He was born in St. Brendan's Parish in Dorchester, Massachusetts,[1] the son of Boston Mayor John B.

[2] He was a graduate of Boston College High School in 1948 and then from the University of Notre Dame in 1952.

[1] He began his career with WNDU in South Bend, Indiana before moving to WBZ in Boston.
