Jack Jones (footballer, born 1891)

John William Jones (8 February 1891 – 20 July 1948) was an English professional footballer who played as a left back.

[3] Jones was born in 1891 in Rotherham, which was then in the West Riding of Yorkshire.

For six seasons he formed a formidable full-back pairing with Frank Womack, helping the club win the Football League Second Division title in the 1920–21 season.

[2] He went on to play 237 matches in all competitions for the club, including 191 in the First Division.
