Jack Morton

John Joseph Morton (July 22, 1922 – December 17, 1983) was an American football player and coach.

Morton was the head football coach at the University of Toledo for one season, in 1956, compiling a record of 1–7–1.

He played for the 1944 Purdue Boilermakers football team as a member of the United States Navy.

[2] He played for the Bears in 1945 and signed with the Los Angeles Dons of the All-America Football Conference on February 28, 1946.

[11][12] In 1962, he was named head coach and director of player personnel for the Jackson Panthers of the American Football Conference, but the league folded before the season began.
