Jack Warner (pitcher)

Jack Dyer Warner (born July 12, 1940) is an American former Major League Baseball relief pitcher.

The native of Brandywine, West Virginia, had a nine-season professional baseball career.

He threw and batted right-handed and was listed as 5 feet 11 inches (1.80 m) tall and 190 pounds (86 kg).

Warner was signed by the Chicago Cubs as an amateur free agent in 1958 after graduation from Alliance (Ohio) High School.

Warner also achieved his only major league hit in this game, a single in the top of the 14th against eventual winning pitcher Don Cardwell.
