Jacob S. Glickenhaus

[1] He served as Secretary of the Newark Ninth Ward Republican Committee.

[2] During his six years as an Assemblyman, he served as Chairman of the Assembly Appropriations Committee and as Essex County Delegation leader.

[3] Glickenhaus did not seek re-election to the State Assembly in 1944 but instead won election to the Essex County Board of Freeholders.

[3] In 1953, Governor Alfred Driscoll appointed Glickenhaus to serve as an Essex County Court Judge.

Governor Richard J. Hughes elevated him to the Superior Court in 1964,[4] and in 1965 he became the Assignment Judge for Essex County.
