Jafred Chirchir Kipchumba (born 8 August 1983) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specialises in the marathon.
Hailing from Keiyo District in Kenya, he began training for marathon running in 2003.
[1] He made his first competitive appearance over the classic distance at an all-debutant version of the Vienna City Marathon in 2009.
[3] In his fourth outing over the 42.195 km distance, Kipchumba had his first competitive win.
[5] He trains with Geoffrey Mutai, who won the 2011 Boston Marathon in a world's fastest time.
