Under his leadership, the MSU baseball team has experienced five of the top 10 winningest seasons in program history.

[6] They have also achieved seven 30-win seasons in the last 12 years, won the Big Ten regular-season championship in 2011, and made his first NCAA tournament appearance with Michigan State in 2012.

Conference tournament champion Boss has a nephew, Ike Irish, who plays baseball.
