Jacob Timothy Wallis Simons[1] (born 1978 or 1979)[2] is a British columnist, broadcaster and foreign correspondent.
Born in London, he graduated with a first class degree in English from St Peter's College, Oxford, before completing a PhD in creative writing at the University of East Anglia in 2009.
[3] He writes a regular column for the Telegraph[4] and his work also features frequently in the Spectator[5] and the New York Post.
His four novels,[2] including The English German Girl, which won the Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize in 2011.
[11][12] He was appointed editor of The Jewish Chronicle in December 2021, succeeding Stephen Pollard.
