James Curtis (footballer)

James Andrew Curtis (born 13 April 1982) is an English former footballer who played as a centre back.

Born in Sunderland,[1] Curtis spent his early career with Kennek Ryhope and Washington.

[4] He turned professional with the club in 2010, aged 28, having previously worked for the local council.

[7] He appeared for the club in the National League play-off final later that season.

[11] Curtis then signed for Spennymoor Town,[11] where he remained until retirement at the end of the 2023–24 season, after 274 appearances for the club.
