James Daniel Niedergeses

James Daniel Niedergeses (February 2, 1917 – November 16, 2007) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church.

Niedergeses spent the 11 years in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the majority of his time there as pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish.

[2] On April 8, 1975, Pope Paul VI appointed Niedergeses as bishop of the Diocese of Nashville, He was consecrated in Rome by Cardinal Giovanni Cicognani on May 20, 1975.

[1] Pope John Paul II accepted Niedergeses' resignation as bishop of the Diocese of Nashville on October 13, 1992.
