James Evans (born 5 November 1978) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s and 2010s.
He played at club level for the Canberra Raiders, Huddersfield Giants, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, Bradford Bulls and the Castleford Tigers, as a centre.
Huddersfield's loss was Wakefields Trinity's gain as Evans secured top flight success with two tries in the Scratch night relegation battle against Castleford.
Evans was then courted by the Bradford Bulls for season 2007 where he was an instant hit scoring 15 tries in 23 games.
It was announced in September 2008 that Evans would leave the Bulls at the end of 2008 to join Castleford due to salary cap restrictions.
