James F. Merow (March 16, 1932 – December 23, 2016)[1][2] was a senior judge of the United States Court of Federal Claims.
Born in Salamanca, New York,[1][3] Merow received an Associate of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts from the George Washington University in 1953, where he was made a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa.
[4] He received a Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School in 1956, where he served on the Board of Editors of the Law Review and was made a member of the Order of the Coif.
[4] He was an officer in the United States Army Judge Advocate General's Corps from 1956 to 1959, and a trial attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, from 1959 to 1978.
[3] On June 20, 1983, President Ronald Reagan nominated Merow for reappointment to the CFC.
