James Gould (1593–1676) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1659 and 1676.
His father was a merchant in Dorchester, and Gould inherited the family business in 1630.
In January 1649 he claimed to have been ousted from the administration of a charitable trust "for his loyalty".
He was not an active member although he was involved with legislation relating to the wool trade.
[1] Gould died at the age of 82 and was buried at Holy Trinity, Dorchester on 15 February 1676.
