James Gray (sculptor)

James Gray (9 June 1866 – 9 January 1947) was a sculptor and former Director of the Glasgow School of Art.

[2] James married Janet Spence McIntyre (died 24 March 1947),[3] known as Netta in Bowmore, Islay in 1905.

[4] In 1916 he exhibited at the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts his works: Coloured Relief and Pharuig.

[4] In 1918 he exhibited at the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts his works: L' Chanson D'Amour and a bust called Time's Passage.

Tributes was paid to his services by governors, staff and students in 1934 at a presentation ceremony to mark his retirement.
