James J. Shand

James Joseph Shand (born 1946) is an American prelate of the Episcopal Church who served as the tenth Bishop of Easton from 2003 till 2014.

Shand was born in 1946 in New York City, and grew up in Plainfield, New Jersey.

In 2003, he also received an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary.

[1] He was elected Bishop of Easton on September 28, 2002, and was consecrated on January 25, 2003, by Bishop Robert W. Ihloff of Maryland at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge, Maryland.
