James Joseph Hayes Doone (August 8, 1888 – April 6, 1953) was a Canadian lawyer and political figure in the Province of New Brunswick.
On January 10, 1940, Premier Allison Dysart appointed Hayes Doone to his Cabinet as the Provincial Secretary-Treasurer (Minister of Finance).
J. J. Hayes Doone resigned from Cabinet and from the Legislature on August 10, 1949 following his June 25, 1949 appointment to the Senate of Canada by Canadian Prime Minister Louis St. Laurent.
He served as the Senate member for Charlotte County division until his death in 1953 at age sixty-four.
