James Madison Morton Sr.

James Madison Morton Sr. (September 5, 1837 – April 19, 1923) was a justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court from 1890 to 1913.

Born in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, Morton received an undergraduate degree from Brown University in 1859, where he was classmates with John Hay and William Williams Keen, followed by an LL.B.

A. Brackett appointed Morton to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
