James Archibald Nelson (27 August 1873 – 1 June 1950) was a New Zealand cricketer.
[1][2] His only senior cricket match was a fixture between Otago and Southland in February 1915.
[5] Professionally Nelson worked as a police officer.
[6] In club cricket, he played for the West Christchurch club as a bowler between 1915/16 and 1917/18, playing at a time when many younger players had joined the war effort.
