Jane Hunt (politician)

Jane Marion Hunt[1] (born 4 June 1966)[2] is a British politician who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Loughborough in Leicestershire between 2019 and 2024.

Hunt served on Charnwood Borough Council from 2003 until 2015 for Loughborough Nanpantan, and from 2018 for Quorn and Mountsorrel Castle.

In October 2022, following the resignation of Truss, Hunt announced that she would be supporting previous Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the subsequent leadership election.

[5] In April 2024, Hunt thanked medics at the Leicester Royal Infirmary after having chemotherapy following her diagnosis with bowel cancer.
