Jaru Biological Reserve

[3] It is located in the municipalities of Vale do Anari, Machadinho d'Oeste and Ji-Paraná in the state of Rondônia.

[1] The reserve is in the middle Ji-Paraná River basin, in the sub-basin of the Tarumã stream.

[1] It is located in the Madeira Tapajós interfluvial, one of the less well known regions of Brazil and one of great importance in conserving the Amazon biome.

[2] The conservation unit is supported by the Amazon Region Protected Areas Program.

[5] Protected species are oncilla (Leopardus tigrinus), jaguar (Panthera onca) and giant otter (Pteronura brasiliensis).
