Professor Jayantha Lal Ratnasekera (born November 1962) is a Sri Lankan academic.
He has served as the Vice Chancellor of Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka, from February 2017 to November 2023.
He graduated from Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, with an honors degree in chemistry in 1988.
Ratnasekera joined Rajarata University of Sri Lanka as a Senior Lecturer in August 1996, and was promoted to Professor in Chemistry in 2018.
Ratnasekera was appointed to the Post of Vice Chancellor of Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka in January, 2017.
