Jean-Marie Ehouzou

Jean-Marie Ehouzou (born September 1950) is a Beninese diplomat who has served as the Permanent Representative of the African Union to the United Nations Office at Geneva since 2012.

He was then Director for International Organizations from 2000 to 2003 before becoming the Ambassador to Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, and Djibouti in 2003; he remained in those posts until 2006.

He was also Permanent Representative to the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa at that time.

[1] Ehouzou was subsequently appointed Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and he presented his credentials to the UN Secretary-General on 29 September 2006.

[1] After two years as Permanent Representative, Ehouzou was appointed by President Yayi Boni as Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, La Francophonie, and Beninese Abroad on 22 October 2008.
