Jean Le Barbier de Tinan, (1874–1898) was a French writer.
Born on January 19 1874, to a Eugène Jean-Marie Théodose Le Barbier de Tinan and Valentine Derval.
He would grow up with his grandmother and aunt instead of his parents[1] Jean de Tinan moved to Paris in 1895 after graduating from the School of Agriculture in Montpellier.
In 2002, a film was made on his novel Le Doux amour des hommes.
