Jeanne Cressanges

Jeanne Cressanges,[1] real name Jeanne Mouchonnier (6 May 1929 – 27 July 2024) was a French screenwriter, dialoguist, essayist, and novelist.

Jeanne Cressanges was born in a modest family of the Bourbonnais.

Her father, Jules Mouchonnier, worked for the railways.

Between 1960 and 1970, she was a reader at Éditions Julliard and a columnist at Les Nouvelles littéraires.

The Vosges department was the setting for several of his novels, like Les Eaux rouges and Le Luthier de Mirecourt.
