Jeff Barker (born 1943) is an American politician and law enforcement officer who served as a member of the Oregon House of Representatives, for the 28th district from 2003 until his retirement in 2021.
[1] Barker received a Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State University.
He entered the Portland Police Bureau as an officer, before making detective, and eventually reaching the rank of Lieutenant.
[2] He led the Portland Police Association in 1995–1996, describing its power as "Chiefs come and go like itinerant laborers, but the union is always there.
"[3] His support and advocacy in animal-related measures saw him labeled as a 2011 "Top Dog" by the Oregon Humane Society.
