The show opened in Brighton in September 1989, moved to Bath and made its triumphant London debut at the Apollo Theatre in Shaftesbury Avenue in October.
The site specific version with Bathurst once again in the title role was revived at The Coach and Horses in October & November 2023 and extended through February 2024[7]
