Before moving to the UK, she also worked in the government and in corporate communications in the property sector.
She published her first collection of poems, Summer Cicadas in 2006,[3] which focused on her time in England.
[5] Her first UK collection, Letters Home[6][7] (Nine Arches Press 2020) has been named by Anthony Anaxagorou for the Poetry Book Society Wild Card Choice.
Together with Eddie Tay, she co-edited the new anthology State of Play: Poets of East and Southeast Asian Heritage in Conversation[18] (Outspoken Press, 2023) featuring dialogues between poets of such heritage across continents.
She has taught creative writing at different institutions including Poetry School,[20] City Lit, Oxford Brookes University and Arvon.
