Jeohn Salone Favors is an American attorney and former government official who served as the Assistant Secretary for Counterterrorism, Threat Prevention, and Law Enforcement Policy at the Department of Homeland Security in the Biden administration.
Favors responded to New Orleans in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and helped rescue and evacuate hundreds from catastrophic flooding.
[3] Favors served domestically and internationally as a diplomat with the U.S. Department of State, as an operations officer with the Central Intelligence Agency’s Clandestine Service, and as a National Security Council staff member at the White House.
[7] Favors later served as Senior Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for the National Security Division at the U.S. Department of Justice.
In January 2024, he was appointed as the Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for Counterterrorism, Threat Prevention, and Law Enforcement Policy.
