Jeremiah B. Bloom

Jeremiah B. Bloom (May 25, 1913 – October 2, 1983) was an American lawyer and politician from New York.

He attended Brooklyn Evening Technical High School.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy as a chief petty officer.

In 1978, he challenged Hugh Carey in the Democratic primary for Governor of New York, but was defeated.

[4] He died on October 2, 1983, in St. Clare's Hospital in Manhattan, after a heart attack at the Port Authority Bus Terminal;[5] and was buried at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Glendale, Queens.
