Aldrich attended the Butler University where he played on the men's soccer team from 1995 to 1998.
That season, the Fusion sent Aldrich on loan to MLS Pro-40 in the USL A-League for three games.
[6] He went on loan to the Chicago Fire and Columbus Crew during the season, but never entered a game with either team.
In 1996 and 1997, Aldrich played for the United States men's national under-20 soccer team.
In August 2008, he became an assistant coach with the Metro State College men's soccer team.
