Jerzy Treder (14 April 1942 – 2 April 2015) was a Polish philologist and linguist, focusing on Kashubian studies, among other interests.
He was born in Biała Rzeka, Rumia, in the Reichsgau Danzig-West Prussia of German-occupied Poland.
[1] In 1987-1990 he was deputy director of the Institute of Polish Philology in Gdańsk University.
[2] In 1973 he earned a degree of Doctor in Humanities, with the thesis: Toponimia byłego powiatu puckiego ("Toponymy of the Former Puck Powiat").
