Jiangsu Provincial People's Government

On November 15, 1952, the Nineteenth Meeting of the Central People's Government Committee [zh] ratified the Resolution about the Reorganization of Provinces and Districts (Chinese: 《关于调整省、区建制的决议》).

The two administrative offices and the jurisdiction of the Nanjing municipality formed the new Jiangsu Province.

[5] On January 1, 1953, the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government Committee convened its inaugural meeting.

During the meeting, Tan Zhenlin declared the official formation of the People's Government of Jiangsu Province.

[6] In December 1979, the Revolutionary Committee was dissolved,[7] and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province was reinstated, located at 68 Beijing West Road, Gulou District, Nanjing City.
