Giacinto "Jim" Boni (born June 4, 1963) is an Italian-Canadian professional ice hockey coach and executive.
[1] Boni was charged with culpable homicide,[2] but eventually pleaded guilty to manslaughter,[3] and he was ordered to pay restitution to Schrott's family.
[4] Boni started his career behind the bench at ERC Ingolstadt, where he served as head coach from 1999 to January 2003.
[5] He signed with the Vienna Capitals of the Austrian Hockey League (EBEL) for the 2003-04 season and remained in that job until the end of the 2006-07 campaign.
[8] He was appointed head coach of the Vienna Capitals in February 2015, returning for a second stint in charge at the EBEL club.
