Jim Holtgrieve

James M. Holtgrieve (born December 26, 1947)[1] is an American amateur golfer who had a brief professional career.

[1] Holtgrieve had the most success as an amateur golfer, winning the inaugural U.S. Mid-Amateur in 1981,[2] finishing runner-up in the 1983 British Amateur, and losing in the semi-finals of the 1980 U.S.

[4] Holtgrieve turned professional in 1998[1] and began playing on the Champions Tour.

[6] Holtgrieve had his amateur status reinstated by the USGA in 2007.
