James F. Thomas (May 6, 1917 – June 4, 1981) was an American football guard.
[1] He was a member of the 1938 Oklahoma Sooners football team that compiled a 10–1 record and was ranked No.
He was known as "Singer" Thomas at Oklahoma because of his constant singing in the shower room.
He served in the Army during World War II, attaining the rank of lieutenant and serving in the field artillery under General George Patton.
He was a school teacher in Florence, South Carolina, starting in 1966.
